
The Incubator:
The incubator supports small and medium enterprises by providing rental space and special services to clients. Clients that qualify for incubation at IBC (our current capacity is around 28 clients) receive subsidized rent and access to long list of services. If you are not aware, business incubation has been around since the early 80s and in many cases it has made a considerable impact on local economic conditions. In general, business incubation helps to stimulate job growth by launching new and profitable businesses into the community, and providing a wide range of value add services. Currently, IBC rents space to approximately 28 tenants. At IBC, we work with a diverse portfolio of clients including a bakery, cafe, salon, mechanic, furniture manufacturer, welder, art studio, designer etc.
Goal of Incubator: Create a sustainable businesses that delivers job growth in the West Kazakhstan Oblast and ultimately graduate strong small and medium size businesses back into the community.
My role as a PCV: To help mentor, coach, teach, and lead from behind. The key is to grow the human infrastructure while helping IBC move toward sustainability at each phase of development.
